Ken and Tarak have been in Ireland after having to surrender their passports for an action protesting the U.S. military's violation of neutrality at Shannon airport.

Hawaiian Invitation Ceremony for Golden Rule Peace Boat

Puna Kalama Dawson, a Native Hawaiian Keeper of Knowledge and Hula instructor, performed a traditional Invitation Ceremony for the Golden Rule anti-nuclear sailboat, as its crew prepares to embark on a voyage to Hawaii, the Marshall Islands, Guam, Okinawa, Korea and Japan. The boat will arrive in Japan in time for the August 2020 75th anniversary commemorations of the U.S. nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A Message from Ken and Tarak

Former U.S. Marine Corps Major, Ken Mayers, 82 and former U.S. Army paratrooper, Tarak Kauff, 77, spent two weeks in Limerick Prison after being denied bail and are now out of jail but unable to return home as the court has decided to hold their passports stating they are a “flight risk.”

Veterans For Peace members joined about 70 participants nationwide to participate in the Korea Peace Advocacy Days in D.C., 3/13-14, 2019. They made more than 60 Congressional visits—both House and Senate—starting in the afternoon of March 13.
