Gathering for VFP NoCal Members

You are invited to the 2020 NorCal Regional Convention of Veterans for Peace March 27-29 in Ukiah

Announcing ANOTHER Conference for Northern California VFP chapters and members in Ukiah, March 27 to 29th.  Those of us who have been to this weekend retreat have found it to be invigorating to hang out and learn from each other about our respective chapter and political activities.  Organized by the irrepressible Steve Scalmanini, we will once again be meeting the Ukiah Veterans Building, with excellent repast, scintillating company, and challenging political analysis.

When?
Friday, March 27th, 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, March 29th, 2:30 p.m.

Veterans Memorial Building, Ukiah, California
293 Seminary Avenue (at the corner of South Oak Street)

Agenda with Tentative Topics:
Here is a rough agenda immediately.  A more detailed agenda will be published in early March after hearing back from those who will attend and from a few potential speakers.  (See request for agenda topics and priorities in the RSVP section above.)

The program is in development however, it is confirmed that political troubadour David Rovic will be performing a concert on Friday, 7-10 pm at the Ukiah Vets Hall!

Tabling:
Please bring any materials that you would like to display for other members and the visiting public to see, purchase, copy, etc.

Internet Access:
High speed Internet access is not normally available in the Ukiah Veterans Building, however the host chapter will try to provide access for the Conference via a temporary WiFi extender onsite.  So bring your laptops if you like, especially if you have any video footage that you would like to show everyone via the projector we'll have.

Meals:
Meals are included in the price of the conference and will be provided at the Veterans Building.
All meals will include a vegetarian option.  (Tell us your dietary restrictions in the RSVP section above.)
Friday evening:  dinner (available through the evening for late arrivals)
Saturday:          breakfast, lunch, dinner
Sunday:            breakfast, lunch (available to go, for those who want to get on the road and take lunch with them)

Price of Conference:
$60 will cover meals and rental of the Veterans Building for the weekend.  The price of lodging is not included and will depend upon where you stay and whether you share a room.  Please pay by check to "VFP – Chapter 116" upon arrival at the conference, although you may also pay with cash.
