Olympia Chapter 109- Armistice Day

November 16, 2016

We had a great time ringing bells and displaying posters and the VFP flag in downtown Olympia on Friday morning.

When we were about to leave the area where we celebrated Armistice Day our chapter president suggested that we go to a local Mosque to participate - along with other concerned citizens of Olympia -  in a show of support for the Muslim community.   While we were standing outside the Mosque, many of the people coming in for the service stopped to thank us for being there.  They were all very gracious and kind and even invited us in to be a part of the service.  The experience was very humbling and we felt privileged to be a part of it.
