This week the VFP Golden Rule Project received a very timely and generous donation of $5,000 from Lifetime VFP member Ray Cage of Prescott, Arizona.  Along with his check, Ray wrote the following message:

I was happy to be able to show up for the re-launch of the Golden Rule. Very exciting during times of an American empire out of control. This small sailboat is an inspiration to a whole lot of people.  I am very happy to be able to donate this money to a great project.  May the Golden Rule cover a lot of nautical miles and touch a lot of hearts on our small blue planet.

Veterans For Peace and the Golden Rule Committee thank Ray from the bottom of our hearts.  Ray, your very generous donation has put wind in our sails!

The restored Golden Rule is on the verge of beginning its maiden voyage to San Diego, in time for the VFP National Convention, August 5-9, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  We encourage VFP members and chapters to follow Ray’s example and donate what they can to the historic mission of the Golden Rule -- inspiring, educating and advocating for a nuclear-free world!
