This year’s election was held to fill the seats of four board members whose terms expire at the end of this month. However, there is also a fifth seat open because Michael McPhearson resigned from the board to accept the position of Interim Executive Director. VFP By-laws state:
Article VII: Elections, Section 2.
(c) The nominees receiving the largest number of votes shall fill the full-term vacancies which exist. The nominees who receive the largest number of votes shall fill the longest terms of office available, in declining order.
In keeping with the by-laws, all five candidates have been elected to the board with Joey King replacing Michael McPhearson.
