Letter from Harold Trainer Regarding Election

December 28, 2016

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to dissolve the present form of government will the American people have the courage and ability to change the government by whatever means necessary to preserve their rights and freedom and effective operation of our country?

On November 8 Donald Trump won the election legally if not ethically and by a minority vote. On January 20, 2017 he will become the president of the United States. He will hold the most powerful office in our democratic republic with the ability to make significant changes in the way we manage and run our country and its 330 million people.

Will congress have the political will and fortitude to ensure the president does not obscure the rights and freedom and best management practices for the people they represent?

Will many millions of Americans have the strength and courage to rise up and challenge the government and powerful presidency and demand their rights and freedom while ensuring best management practices for our country?

If congress and American people in sufficient numbers are not willing or able to challenge the executive power we will succumb to an authoritative form of government. This type of dictatorship could reduce our freedom and rights while allowing the ineffective management and operation of our country. It will mean rule by the rich and famous to the detriment of many millions and our country. Our place and security in the world will be challenged and changed.

What will happen in this new administration elected legally, but maybe not ethically and elected by a minority?
