Ann Wright will be speaking on the Women Cross DMZ panel on October 29 at 12pm at the UN Church Center as a part of the 15th anniversary of UN Security Council resolution 1325. The resolution calls for the participation of women at all levels of governance, in peace processes, and in the prevention of violent conflict.
Our panel will reflect on the significance of the DMZ crossing and peacebuilding in Korea, reviving the women’s peace movements in South Korea, and global awareness of the need to formally end the Korean War. They will share what the historic crossing accomplished and plans for future work.
