VFP joins a coalition of concerned peace organizations and citizens of the United States who are advocating for the importance of abolishing nuclear weapons globally, toward a more peaceful world. The coalition recently issued an open letter to express our sincere regrets and apologies for the deaths of those killed by our nation’s atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a war crime and crime against humanity, although our government has never apologized.

Veterans For Peace To Join 'Disarm Trident' Peace Walk
From September 3 - 14, DISARM TRIDENT activists, that will include members of Veterans For Peace, will walk down the length of Georgia's coast from Savannah to the Kings Bay Submarine Base.
Press Conference on Resolution to Require Congressional Approval of War
Next week, Representatives Walter B. Jones (NC-3) and Tulsi Gabbard (HI-2), along with retired U.S. Marine Captain Matthew Hoh and constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein, will host a press conference announcing their introduction of H.Res. 922, a resolution that would define presidential wars not declared by Congress as impeachable “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Veterans Honor Victims of War in Memorial Day Activities
Veterans For Peace will be in Washington D.C. on Monday, May 28th, to hold their annual "Letters to the Wall" at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, hold a peace ceremony at the Korean War Veterans Memorial and host a touring memorial, The Swords to Plowshares Belltower.
