Mission
The group has not yet identified an overarching mission statement for this working group; however, the general purpose of all working groups is the same: to provide a vehicle for VFP members to engage in an issue of particular interest to them, and to develop resources of benefit to Veterans For Peace, such as talking points, filmographies and bibliographies and a list of websites relevant to the issue.
VFP's Work
Several VFP members have made visits to Gaza and participated in efforts to break the blockade of essential supplies to the area, including the Gaza Flotilla that was attacked by Israeli Defense Forces in May of 2010.
Palestine Podcast Academy
Veterans For Peace is uplifting voices of Palestinians by sharing episodes of the Palestine Podcast Academy! We acknowledge the most effective voices to describe the impacts of war are from those who suffer through it. And, the only people who understand that more than veterans are the communities that survive under global militarism. We urge you to listen to the stories of courageous individuals as they struggle living under violent oppression in Palestine. Read more here.
