VFP Member on Hunger Strike to Protest U.S. Sanctions
Sally Alice Thompson is 95 years old and she is on a hunger strike for the children, children victims of the U.S. government's sanctions and war mongering on the countries where they live--Yemen, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela.
VFP joins the Venezuela Embassy Protection Collective
Over the last several days, VFP members from around the U.S. have joined the vigil outside the Embassy of Venezuela in support of VFP member Ken Ashe and other peace activists who are under siege inside the Embassy. The activists are there at the invitation of the elected government of Venezuela.

VFP Members Visit Venezuela with U.S./Canada Peace Delegation
Former VFP Board member Dan Shea and I had the honor of representing Veterans For Peace on a recent U.S./Canada peace delegation to Venezuela, organized by the U.S. Peace Council. The purpose of the delegation was to express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people and their elected government, which is resisting a multi-pronged attack from right wing oligarchs supported by the U.S. government.
Veterans Call on U.S. Troops to Resist Illegal Orders to Invade Venezuela in Response to Trump
Veterans For Peace (VFP) calls on all members of the U.S. military to refuse illegal orders to intervene in Venezuela. Furthermore, VFP urges all U.S. military leaders to inform the president that they will order their units to stand down from preparations to invade Venezuela.
