How much does the convention cost?

Registration Costs

Reduced member & Workshop presenter $125.00

How much is hotel parking?

Parking is available, on a first come first serve basis at the hotel's attached garage at the special rate of $10 per night.

Does the convention price include any food?

The "Full registration" & the "Reduced Rate" includes the Saturday Night Banquet.  The banquet will be served as a buffet.  On the registration form you will be asked to choose your protein.  Meal includes the choice of coffee or hot/cold tea.

Are Pets Allowed?

Service Assistance dogs are permitted within the hotel.  They have to have a service animal tag issued by the Department of Health & Human Services. 

 

Will the hotel have free internet?

Internet is free in the lobby area and in guest’s room.

 

How do we propose resolutions?

Resolutions are now being accepted. The deadline for submitting a resolution proposal is Thursday, July 22, 2018.  Before submitting a new proposal, please read the 2018 protocols.  

 

How do we propose bylaw amendments?

 Bylaw amendments are now being accepted. The deadline for submitting a bylaw amendment is Thursday, July 22, 2018. Read the 2018 Bylaw Amendment protocols.

 

How do I sign up to read poetry?

The deadline to submit poetry for inclusion in the chapbook is July 5, 2018. If you do not want your poem included in the chapbook, bring it with you and notify the poetry coordinator John Spitzberg.  His email address is jspitzb227@aol.com​  

Sign-up here to read your poetry.  The poetry reading will be held immediately after the President's reception on Wednesday, Aug 9th.  

 

What are the Workshops?

The workshop committee is currently accepting applications.  Deadline to submit an application is June 8, 2018.    Please email shelly@veteransforpeace.org for questions.

How do I advertise in the Convention Program Book?

The deadline to submit an ad for the program book is Friday, July 20, 2018.  Visit the Purchase Ads tab for more information on purchasing an ad for the program book.  No color ads. All ads should be camera ready.

 

Who are the Speakers/Performers?

The 2018 Convention committee is currently reviewing.
