Now What?Once the paperwork has been started, new chapters are encouraged to utilize the New Chapter Toolkit, which is designed to help new chapters with organizing, structuring, and building support. The success of VFP depends on the chapter activities and the liason between the national office, local chapters, and allied organizations. When considering local actions, please check out VFP's Endorsed Actions and Campaigns for a list of organizations and causes that are endorsed by VFP's Board of Directors.
VFP actions that rise to national visibility generally start at the grassroots level. It’s common for local chapters to generate exciting ideas for projects, and for those ideas to morph into programs and campaigns that spread to other chapters for replication and reach the National Office for support. The power of VFP chapters is the distinctive voice of veterans acting locally to affect global change. |
