The Golden Rule Peace Boat is in the SF Bay!

The historic 34-foot sailboat sparked a worldwide movement against nuclear bomb testing, when in 1958 its crew of four Quaker peace activists attempted to sail to the Marshall Islands to bring attention to U.S. nuclear atmospheric testing.

The Golden Rule, which inspired Greenpeace to get its first boat, was found at the bottom of Humboldt Bay five years ago and has been lovingly restored by Veterans For Peace and many friends.
