Ballots Incorrect - New Ballots to be Mailed
It is with much consternation that I inform you that the ballot Veterans For Peace just sent out to all of the members is wrong. As a result we will not count these ballots, but instead will be sending out corrected ballots to our members. The new ballots will be the only ones that will be counted. We apologize to everyone for the inconvenience, but especially those who have already sent in their ballots. We expect to get corrected ballots to everyone in approximately two weeks.
Unfortunately when the ballots were printed one of the candidates was not included. Through several levels of proof reading none of us caught the error. Trying to stop this illegal, immoral, and unjust war has distracted us all and I, for one, obviously did not pay enough attention to the ballot.
We have also received a number of calls about Dave Cline still being on the ballot. The ballots were already printed when we lost Dave. We considered printing new ballots, but decided having his name on the ballot would be symbolic of the many small ways we will get reminded of Dave, who did so much for VFP. He will be missed so much.
